About Fuego

  • Fuego was among the first companies to join QSTP in 2008 and was the very first recipient of the QSTP Proof of Concept Fund (POC).

    Fuego brought North American technology to Qatar and the Middle East and developed its own Content Management System (CMS) and Frameworks, that are localized to the region by focusing on the Arabic language. Fuego CMS in essence, is multi-site and multi-lingual, with an extensive range of built-in modules and features.

    Since 2014, as other Open Source CMS products have become more stable, secure and mature, Fuego has adopted the Drupal CMS for most new sites and also does some development in other tools such as SiteFinity, Zoho and headless CMS products. Drupal offers many of the features required in Qatar such as mult-site and multi-lingual and Fuego extends the CMS tools including Drupal and Zoho to meet the remaining client needs.

Our Story

Many CMSs, even today, face issues when creating pages for right-to-left (RTL) based languages. Fuego began by creating a functional, highly flexible, and customizable CMS that is known as Fuego CMS. We improved the web and digital presence of more than fifty prominent organizations, such as Qatar Foundation (and its member organizations), as well as the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy and others.

Fuego CMS enabled clients manage their content by themselves, in multiple languages including Arabic. It offers many internal features that could be used by clients without spending considerable amounts of time learning the system or doing any complex scripting or development.

From this period on, we had transitioned to building mobile applications, portals, and platforms, while continuing to deliver world-class websites.

We have also risen to become the leading Cloud Infrastructure Design and Operations company in Qatar. Qatar is transitioning infrastructure to the Cloud as it becomes more mature, secure and connected than traditional on-premise or client-managed data centre facilities. Fuego has been running its infrastructure in the Cloud since 2008 and therefore has over a decade of experience.

Since 2015, Containers have become the best practice for deploying applications at any scale and Fuego is at the forefront of this. Fuego has been running its applications on Docker for over 5 years and now runs applications on Amazon ECS and Kubernetes, as well as GKE.

All of these advances and flexibility is due to our multi-skilled adaptable team, high quality standards, continuous applied research in technology and its evolving processes.

What We Do

Fuego recognizes that technology, particularly in the Internet and Mobile sectors, is continuously changing. Therefore, Fuego’s applied research is constantly investigating and developing using emerging technologies.

Fuego also specializes in infrastructure and assists clients with hosting or migrating their infrastructure to Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google and Zoho, according to their specific requirements.

Fuego is an accredited Partner with Zoho and Amazon Web Services and works closely with Microsoft Gold Certified Partners for Azure.

In addition, Fuego is recognized as one of the few companies capable of building truly custom solutions. We do not use any off-the-shelf WordPress or other templates as virtually all other companies do.

  • When was Fuego founded, and where is it based?

    Fuego Digital Media QSTP-LLC was among the first companies to join Qatar Science & Technology Park in 2008, and was the very first recipient of the QSTP Proof of Concept Fund. It operates from the Innovation Centre at QSTP in Doha, Qatar.

  • Is Fuego a Qatar Foundation partner?

    Yes. Fuego is incorporated within Qatar Science & Technology Park, part of Qatar Foundation, and has delivered digital platforms for Qatar Foundation entities including Qatar Biobank, Josoor Institute, Education Above All and the Research Center for Islamic Legislation and Ethics.

  • Does Fuego build on WordPress or off-the-shelf templates?

    No. Fuego is one of the few companies in the region that builds fully custom solutions, and does not use off-the-shelf WordPress or template themes. Where a CMS suits the project, Fuego works with Drupal, SiteFinity, Zoho and headless CMS products, and extends them to meet the remaining requirements.
